"Just wanted to give a big public THANK YOU to Mike at Uke Republic.
I'm traveling to Michigan tomorrow and really didn't want to bring my uke on the plane, so last week on Wednesday I got the bright idea to see if I could get a Makala Dolphin shipped to my destination ahead of time. I called Mike and danged if he didn't have a lovely one in stock and all set-up. The price of a new Dolphin and the shipping made the whole thing only a few dollars more than the fee for checking a bag if I brought my own uke on the plane.
But, could that new uke arrive before Tuesday? I asked.
Readers, it could.
And it did.
I got a call on FRIDAY saying that my Dolphin had arrived in Michigan, beautifully packed and ready to play. (And when I'm done with it this week, it will become a gift for my two nephews who are very excited about the prospect -- so the uke love will go on!)
Mike, you are a prince.
I'm hardly the first to recommend Uke Republic on these boards, but I figure you can never say thank you too often.
