Aloha, friends! Let me introduce you to UKE Republic – a small family business where the ukulele takes center stage, and the magic of music comes to life. At the heart of UKE Republic is Mike, the man behind it all. You could say his musical journey started when he was just 7 years old, thanks to his mom who got him classic guitar lessons. But there was a little hitch – the guitar was quite a large instrument for a 7-year-old! Fast forward to his teen years, and Mike was rocking out with his friends in a garage punk rock band. The music bug had bitten him hard. But the real ukulele love story began in 1995 when Mike and his wife Donna were in Ireland. That's when they first heard IZ's version of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow." The sweet sound of the ukulele struck a chord in their hearts, and they fell head over heels for it. Now, what makes UKE Republic special is our unwavering commitment to the ukulele. We've carefully handpicked brands and models known for their top-notch quality and incredible sound.
