UKE Republic's Return/REFUND Policy
Terms and Policies:
At UKE Republic, we take great care to ensure the quality of our instruments. Every instrument undergoes a thorough inspection upon arrival from the manufacturers, and further scrutiny during setup and packaging. Most of our instruments are also meticulously photo-documented.
Delivery Confirmation, Address Accuracy & Assumption of Risk Clause:
Once an order has been shipped and the carrier provides proof of delivery (including delivery confirmation, GPS scan, or photographic evidence where available), UKE Republic’s responsibility for that shipment ends.

If a charge is disputed for an order marked Delivered, UKE Republic will respond with carrier proof of delivery, including tracking records and delivery confirmation, to the payment processor.
Once a carrier confirms delivery, or a shipment is sent to the address provided by the customer, loss, theft, or delivery issues outside of carrier error are beyond UKE Republic’s control and liability.

- You may return an instrument within 5 working days of receipt if you are not completely satisfied (excluding custom instruments, customized with pickup, strap buttons, and planetary tuner conversions, B-Stocks, and AS-IS items).
- To be eligible for a refund or exchange, the instrument must be in unused, unaltered condition, with all shipping charges deducted. Unauthorized repairs are not reimbursed.
- Please notify us of your intention to return via our contact page.
- If the initial order shipment is refused by the purchaser or recipient, all shipping costs will be deducted from the refund, provided the instrument is returned in new condition.
- All sales are final for custom instruments, B-Stocks, Close-Outs, and AS-IS items.
- Free shipping applies only to items you keep. If you return a non-defective free-shipped item, you are responsible for return shipping costs (including shipping, handling, packing, and insurance).
- The initial outbound shipping cost incurred by UKE Republic for Free Shipping will be deducted from the refund.
- International customers may return instruments within 5 working days of receipt if not completely satisfied (excluding custom instruments, B-Stocks, and AS-IS items).
- To be eligible for a refund or exchange, the instrument must be in unused, unaltered condition, with all shipping charges deducted.
- UKE Republic is not responsible for refunding VAT (Value Added Taxes)/Duties/Shipping Service or Brokerage fees incurred from the shipping agent or the buyer's country.
- Ship all items well-packed and insured to prevent damage during transit.
- Refunds will only be issued upon receiving and inspecting the returned items.
- Shipping costs include handling and material charges, as well as insurance for orders over $250.00 in value.
- If the initial order shipment is refused by the purchaser or recipient, all shipping costs will be deducted from the refund, provided the instrument is returned in new condition.

- Theft after delivery (“porch piracy”)
- Packages marked as Delivered by the carrier but later reported missing
- Deliveries made to the address provided at checkout where proof of delivery exists
- Orders shipped to an incorrect, incomplete, or outdated address supplied by the customer
It is the customer’s responsibility to:
- Provide a complete, accurate, and secure delivery address
- Ensure the ability to securely receive the package at the time of delivery
- Select additional delivery safeguards when needed (signature requirement, carrier hold, alternate secure address, etc.)
- Contact the shipping carrier directly and file any theft, loss, or misdelivery claim

Warranty Information
Most of our brand 's manufacturers offer a limited warranty against material defects or faulty craftsmanship. Warranties do not cover damage from mishandling or environmental conditions or alterations. Most manufacturer's warranties are non-transferable and apply only to the original purchaser with proof of purchase. Uke Republic will be happy to assist our customers with manufacturer's warranty procedures as best we can.

Custom Orders
- UKE Republic requires a deposit when an order is placed for custom instruments by one of our commissioned luthiers. The deposits vary depending on the luthier's policies; as do the wait times (estimates from 4 weeks up to 6 to 8 months).
- All sales are final on any completed custom order.
- Deposits are considered as a purchase agreement.
- Deposits are non-refundable for cancelled orders and may not be used as store credit.
