- UKE Republic Sailor Drop Point Blade Pocket Knife
UKE Republic Sailor Drop Point Blade Pocket Knife
In 1879 a ship called the Raven's Crag arrived in Hawaii from Portugal. The ship brought what would be the predecessor of the ukulele, the machête (aka braguinha).
In 1870 in Palaculo, Portugal, a man named Manuel Antonio Martina started a small knife company. His knives were known for being an everyday carry tool for the local inhabitants. Now could one of these little knives travel along with those sailors who brought the machête to Hawaii? We'd like to think that it's possible.
So, we now offer these little hand-sharpened knives made in Portugal. We offer a variety of woods. These knives are perfect for light-duty tasks and are a perfect everyday carry.
We love ours for picnics and simple tasks. This knife might become a best friend.
