Inspired by luthier Jonah Kumulae’s 1915 Pan Pacific International Expo award-winning design, this deluxe Figure 8 soprano honors early Hawaiian ukulele history while delivering modern refinement.
The pairing of a solid Hawaiian koa top with solid mahogany back and sides creates a lively, articulate soprano voice with warmth underneath the sparkle. Koa provides brightness and clarity, while mahogany rounds out the midrange for a balanced, expressive tone.
The traditional Figure 8 body gives it that unmistakable vintage silhouette and classic soprano character. An open-pore semi-gloss finish keeps the instrument light and responsive, allowing the wood to breathe and resonate naturally.
