UKE Republic Contest

UKE Republic is holding it's first contest!
It's the 80's Dudes and YOU can win a Vineyard Flying V Uke! Here are the details:
We want you to put together a totally awesome 80's video which must include:

The featured song must be from an 80's rock, pop, punk, etc.
The song must be played on your ukulele
You must sing the song
The video must include, either with text or verbally mentioned, the contest
name "UKE Republic's Totally Awesome 80's Rewind Contest", the featured
song name and the original artist, your name or profile name.

Judging Criteria:

Creativity
Song Performance
Appearance - costuming and video quality
Humor

Contest Rules:
One entry per person, so make it good! All entries must be submitted no later than
02/28/2010. There are two ways to enter: 1) Entries can be submitted to our FaceBook
Fan Page by either posting the video or link to your video on the wall- which means
you will need to be registered with FaceBook or 2) Entries can be posted to Ukulele
Underground Forums, under Contest header then look for the Totally 80's Video
Contest thread - which means you have to be registered with Ukulele Underground.
You will be notified if your video is too large or does not meet all requirements. Any
video with content that is lude, distasteful or features nudity will be disqualified - so
keep it clean! The winner will be announced on 03/15/2010 on the UKE Republic's
website, Ukulele Underground and our FaceBook Fan Page and will be notified
personally by contact info allowed on your registered profiles on either FB or UU. If
unable to contact winner within two weeks of the announcement, a new winner will
be announced.

There will be only one winner. The winner will receive one Vineyard Flying V
Ukulele w/ black bag (uke color our choice). The winning video will also be featured
on our website, Ukulele Underground (forums, under contest thread)and UKE
Republic's FaceBook Fan Page. Any international entrants (outside of the continental
US) must understand that, if the winner is an international entrant - that entrant must
pay shipping charges to receive winning prize. By submitting a video, the entrant
indicates he/she has fully read, understands and agrees to all requirements, rules and
stipulations.
